THE OFFICE....YES!

If you missed the season premiere of The Office ....WHAT WERE YOU DOING??? But, have no fear you can view the full episode at: http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/ It was awesome! I have a theory that everyone can relate or "see" at least one person that they know in real life, in one of The Office characters. For me, nearly everyone I know is represented by an Office character, especially my family! Now some I could say on here, but some I can't. If you are wondering if you are one of them, you probably are. That is why it is so hilarious to me! Some classic lines from last night "I think they like my jugs." , "We need to keep our starting weights high so we can loose more.", "We like to call her rice-a-Ronnie", "I'm keeping a list of everyone who wrongs me so when I'm back on top they'll be sorry." "This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life... I haven't had a really hard life!" Oh the joy! The Office has helped me through so much. We are like best friends. When Will was a baby and after my Mom had died The Office got me through! I would wake up in the night to feed Will, missing my Mom and turn on episode after episode of The Office. It was awesome! So, if you want a good laugh and a break from life once a week, check out The Office. And Dave would say 30 Rock as well. I don't like it as much but I really enjoy "the page" on there. Good times!

EGGS!!

In the last 2 months Will has broken 66 eggs for us. No, not cracked them into a recipe, not scrambled them, but lovingly smeared and smashed them all over my fridge and floor! WHY does he do this? I'm not sure but I have a few theories, one is he dislikes our fridge and we need to get a fridge that is on the top and the freezer on the bottom oh and in stainless steel preferably (DAVE!) . I also think that he wants to make sure to get rid of all the eggs (seemingly which are his nemesis) as soon as I have bought a new carton full of lovely pefect egg goodness (went to Target yesterday). Too have one venomous egg in our fridge would be overwhelming for Will obviously. I think he also enjoys doing his lovely art work the second I take a shower cause I wasn't up at 6 am to take my usual shower. It's a just punishment for my sleeping into 7, at least he thinks so. Why don't I have a picture of his eggie cutenss, cause I'm not a good Mom and I'm more mad than I am endeared to his poultry mess! I'm not a cute scrapbooking, fun loving "look at you with all your messy salmonella eggs all over my kitchen" kind of mom. This is one thing I have learned about myself in my last 7+ parenting years, taking pictures when I am mad and disgusted by my kids doesn't make me happier. But, I thought it would be a nice vent and feel lucky I didn't take a picture because it wouldn't have been pretty, I had just gotten out of the shower when Maren reported the felony to me. Enough said!

Hair

Well, for those of you who know me (and if you don't you are learning something here) I am in love (and I fully admit it) with Will's hair! It is ADORABLE! He is like a tiny little cherub of curly hair cuteness. I like to think that my Mom snuck that in for me as they crossed paths up in heaven. But he is just adorable and his attitude matches the hair! Well, recently some people (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) let me know that while I was enthusiastic about my little boys hair, that he was maybe starting to look like a girl. I'll admit that when I stood back from him leaving my mother's perspective behind, he was looking a bit worse for wear (although I wasn't sure if that was the food on his face or his hair or that we were at Lagoon) But nonetheless I took him to get his first "official" haircut today. No people, I did not cry, but I was on the verge. But I also didn't let them shave his head down. And YES I will still be using "product" in his hair. We gave him what the hair lady referred to as "the shag" and I think it's darling! And now maybe he looks a little less like a girl-like. But he is still my Willie cute chub man. And we also cut Maren's hair while we were at it and the lady gave her a cute little hairdo that I could never have enough patience/intelligence to figure out, so I took a pic of that because it will be probably the last day she wears it that way. Maren asked me after her hair was done if we could "go to the mall and show it off". I had to laugh cause this is totally something Mimi (Dave's mom) would say/do. Too cute! (BTW I took them to Cookie Cutter's and I highly recommend it. I wasn't really down with the "you need a kids hair cutting place to cut their hair", but when I went there they converted me. And they aren't paying me to say this! :-)
Mr. Willis before.

Will drinking the ketchup at lunch afterwards. I just thought that was too funny!

Crack Up

I thought this video captured nicely my life on a day to day basis. First of all, Mr. Willis is just hilarious in this. I was trying to capture his awesome skill of "trying" to spin. It is too funny, more arms than actual spinning! And notice at one point is dizziness. But in addion to that, you get to see Maren getting mad at me and also falling down as she tries her dance moves and blaming on me (usual stuff for my day). They are total crack ups! Sometimes motherhood is fun!

Please Watch

Since you know I'm somewhat of a tv junky (although I still don't think I'm as "down" with tv shows as my sister Annie and her husband Alec- they are the masters) I'm going to start a thread on the sidebar of shows you should check out now that the fall line up is starting. The first, which unfortunately premiered on Monday was "Prison Break". If you haven't watched it I still think you can catch up by renting the previous years, or actually I think you can just jump right in. The first season was killer, 2nd season not so great, 3rd season good and so far I loved the premiere. My main reason for recommending this show, yes it's Wentworth Miller!(Ladies even though he is older, he should have been playing Edward in the upcoming Twilight film!Isn't this picture perfect for Edward in the meadow!)
But hey, it is also action packed and a good show, besides the great eye candy. The second show, which fortunately for you all (yes especially Annie!) starts tonight "America's Next Top Model". Now, if you are a man, you probably won't dig it, although when Dave comes home and I'm watching it on the tivo, he never leaves the room! But if you are a fashion, reality show loving person like me you will eat up "Top Model". Although, I do recommend a watching on tivo, because Tyra can be slightly annoying and I FF through a lot her dialogue! lol So those are my top 2 for now. Keep checking out my sidebar for my fav shows!

Fall is Here

Wow, I can't believe that it has been a month since I've last blogged! What happened! Well, actually I know what happened, school happened and the 2nd grade with more homework(which is technically Matthew's homework, but I have to supervise the spelling, reading, vocabulary, math facts! Much harder than 1st grade!). So hopefully I can catch you all up on our life. Nothing much has happened besides the mundane. Maren started pre school and dance again (ballet and tap), Matthew and Maren (although I think Maren likes the social aspect and snack better than the soccer) started soccer, and Matthew is starting piano lessons. Oh also Maren danced at Jordan High's first football game at 1/2 time which was really fun. I also started shopping for fall decor(thanks Rach, you bad influence!) and now I'm really in the mood for my favorite season, the fall. I love when it gets crisp outside and your air con doesn't have to run all day if you open your windows (even though I have allergies!). And I love burning candles with great smells of the fall. I love all the colors and somehow their seems to be excitment in the air because school is back in session for everyone, football games, and color changing leaves. I can hardly wait!

Maren's first day of school.
I thought this was cute, Maren and her friend Briley taking a pic of themselves.
