Pictures

My sister babysat Will for me last week and I think my nephew Josh took these pictures. Anyway, they were cute and since I have a relatively boring week, I thought I'd share! Will is the bomb and he is so cute! And yes we are growing his hair out cause it is curly! (Well not really, but we love it cause it's curly, it does need a cut however. I think it grows long from those Gerber meatsticks he is eating in these.)Enjoy!

Maren is a star!

Maren had 2 big events in the past week. She had her first pre-school program and her first dance recital. Of course she was darling in both of them! I couldn't get over how fast she has grown. I still remember holding that sweet little girl in a pink outfit when she was born, and how much I was in love with her. She was totally a joy as a baby and she is tons of fun as a pre-schooler. She is sassy, but she does everything with flare, and I like that! She was a parrot in her dance recital and she did such a good job, it was a bit of a nerve racking event for a 3 year old, but hopefully she'll want to do it again. The show was like 2 hours! I think it was a bit long for her and she missed me. But she loved the flowers and the attention. She did end up barfing after the show (not my best parenting moment. lol) but I'm hoping she is on the mend from that. Oh, it's times like that when your kid barfs in front of people, that I wish I had my Mom to say that she had been through that before. But I called my sister Andrea and we commiserated on a few things that we could personally remember that were probably most likely terrible embarassing parenting moments for my Mom as well. But today all Maren has talked about is how much she loved the stage, the flowers and how she knew everyone was proud of her because everyone clapped. Funny! But, I love that girl! How thankful I am for her in my life! I'm trying a video here at the bottom too, let's see how it works.

Maren was so cute, she was just posing this way, I thought it was so funny!

Smiling, even after barfing! You have to maintain the star presence! lol
Waiting for rehearsals.

This is Maren's teacher Miss Samantha.

Beefalo?

Today I was watching a local tv program where they were doing a cooking segement using Beefalo. (I was so stunned by the beefalo I didn't even take the time to get the recipe ;-) I had NEVER heard of such a thing nor did I really ever want to. Now I'm okay with buffalo meat, or cow meat, but beefalo meat? Apparently it is a cross between a cow and a buffalo. Something tells me that this is not the way that God intended things. Therefore, not sure if I want to eat a meat entitled beefalo, although this man was raving about it's benefits. Now if you can get over the fact that you are eating genetically mutated cross breed of animal, to me the thought seems to render a sci fi film (or something that Dave and his dad would try to convince me is real like the jackalope), then go for it! It is on sale at The Store this week!:-) (Rachel this gives you more feul to your vegetarian fire). When I called Dave about the topic he quickly looked it up on the internet and stated "That just isn't right". It was so hilarious and has cracked me up all day cause Dave rarely takes a stand on such things. Anyway, I'm taking my stand...NO MORE BEEFALO! Poor lady cows who have to birth the huge bison to make us hungry Americans beefalo. (Now hoping I don't get sued like the beef industry did to Oprah! Not sure, but I don't think I have as much clout so I should be safe. lol)

Happy Anniversary!

Dave and I just celebrated our 13th anniversary! We spent a night and 2 days away from the kids. It was totally heaven! We enjoyed just being kid free and having long talks and long meals that aren't hamburgers! I really love being with Dave. I was so lucky to have met and marry him 13 years ago. The time has gone so fast, I really can't believe it has been 13 years at all. I guess that's a good thing in marriage right? Dave is super supportive, a loving and caring father, an awesome person to be around (I don't know anyone that doesn't like or get along with Dave), as well as super good looking and hilarious! I'm just lucky that we get to spend this life and the next together. We have been through a lot together, and always seem to hold each other up and come out the other end stronger. Thanks for the 13 years Dave!! Grow old along with me the best is yet to be! Love ya!
